When taking the Database Application Project exercise students should meet with their personal instructor on a scheduled short meeting once a week during the course. Students make appointments for the meetings by chosing a time for the meeting from those times the instructor is offering. There are also instructors on duty that students may consult if they have any urgent problems.
The instructors will register each instruction session, its time, the student and problems discussed. On each scheduled meetings they register also the working hours used by the student thus far and comments about the exercise.
The goal is to implement a system to support the controlling of the exercise projects. This system will provide services for students, instructors and the teacher in charge of the course.
Some of its functions could be:
a) instructors: offering times for instruction sessions
b) instructors: scheduling their duty hours
c) students: making appointments for scheluled meetings with personal instructor
d) anybody: viewing instructors' duty hours
e) a list of sessions agreed on (for both the instructor and the student)
f) registration of an instruction session
g) students' history (for the instructor)
h) a summary of the instruction sessions (for the teacher in charge of the course)
