The Lyyra ID card with photo

If your contract with the department lasts over six month you will need a Lyyra card with photo. See https://www.lyyra.fi/ds_signup.php?&lang_id=1 for an application for the ID card (select 'Card' and 'Personnel'), or ask the Amanuensis for it. For the ID card with photo, you will need a face shot in .jpg format, like a passport photo:

• frontal face shot with your whole head visible
• a pale(ish), preferably monochrome background
• at least 245(width)x300(height) pixels
• the photo can be in colour or black and white The photo will be printed in black and white on the card.
• add the photo to the application form from your own files.

The department's organisation ID in the application system: TKTL=47353373. Fill in all the required data, crop your digital photo, and make sure that data and photo are correct in the summary. You will receive an e-mail with a login link to the Lyyra web service. The web service has an account associated with the card, and on the web page you can monitor the events and balance of the card. You can charge your card with a bank transfer, or at any HYY Yhtymä office both with cash and bank card, or through your online bank.

This is your part of the deal. The liaisons will check and approve your application, which is then sent to Lyyra and the card will be manufactured. When they are ready, the Lyyra cards are distributed through the department Amanuensis.

The Lyyra card with photo is called the Unicard ( http://www.unicard.fi), on which you can charge money to use e.g. for paying in the Unicafe restaurants. You can also activate it for use as library card in the Helka libraries. It can also be used as a client and payment card at the university sports services.

The Lyyra ID card without photo

If your contract lasts less than one month, you need a staff card without photo. You can fetch one from the Amanuensis. If there are cards in stock, you will receive one immediately.
