In the author seminar, the editors and trainers of Springer will provide
to the authors the publisher?s viewpoint on the successful publishing
process.

Presenters:
Petra van Steenbergen, Senior Editor for Physical Sciences and Earth
Sciences. "Writing a scientific paper and submitting to the right journal"

Choosing a worth-while topic as well as a suitable journal and how to
submit your article to a journal with a good chance of being accepted
are the core topics of the session. The impact of open access and social
networking will be discussed in this context.

Timon Oefelein, Marketing Manager for
North Western Europe, Springer: "Why publish with Springer"

The presentation gives an overview of Springer?s online technology and
multiple formats which help you to get your research published (and
discovered) as quickly as possible. The presentation includes a short
overview of Springer's open access publishing formats.
