Summer outing to the Billnäs and Fiskars ironworks Wed 13 June at 8-17
The whole department staff is invited to spend a summer’s day on a tour of the two ironworks at Billnäs and Fiskars!

The idyllic old factory milieus of Billnäs and Fiskars and their history offer summer visitors a fascinating excursion. In the summer, the old ironworks are filled with exhibitions and public events with a unique combination of art, culture and history for all visitors. The ironworks are located in Raasepori near Karjaa, some 80 km from Helsinki.

Our tour will include guided history tours of the Billnäs and Fiskars ironworks,
a delicious lunch plus coffee and cake, and visits to an art gallery and
the historical and Unelmapihat (Dream gardens) exhibitions.

8:00 The bus leaves from in front of the Kiasma museum in central Helsinki
9:30 Guided tour of Billnäs ironworks
11:00 Lunch
12:00 Visits to art gallery and historical and Unelmapihat exhibitions
13:00 Coffee and Ellen Svinhufvud cake
13:30 The bus leaves for Fiskars
14:00 Guided tour of Fiskars ironworks
15:00 Free time to visit the Fiskars area (shops, cafes, etc)
16:00 The bus leaves Fiskars for Helsinki
