The department is organizing a summer trip to Island Pihlajasaari on Tuesday 17. June. We'll gather at the Pier Merisatama, close to Cafe Carusel in Kaivopuisto at about 12.15 (the boat leaves at 12.30). The boat trip takes abt. 10-15 minutes. If you wish you can come with a later boat.
 
Department will offer a lunch (free choice from the list) and a cold drink for everyone at the Restaurant Pihlajasaari. The restaurant is located on the western part of the island, abt. 300 metres from the pier. After lunch there's plenty of time for own activities (there are e.g really nice rocks/cliffs, a beach and a nature path). You can bring your own drinks and snacks. Please take a towel and swimming suit/trunks if you wish to swim. You can also bring some outdoor games with you (petanque, "mölkky"...)

The return ticket by boat is 6 euros and everyone will pay by themselves. Only cash accepted!

With finnish summer the trip is "Weather permitting"!!! If it rains or is very windy the trip will be cancelled. We'll let you know on Monday 16.6. if that happens.
