ACM-ICPC-NWERC programming contest: 2nd place!

As we all remember, in October our team Bubble Sorters (Mikko Sysikaski, Aleksi Hartikainen ja Mika Laitinen) were victorious in ACM's ICPC section in Nordic programmin competition NCPC 2010. They were invited to continue to the next step,  ICPC-programming contest  and its North-Western European regionals (NWERC 2010).

NWERC 2010 was held yesterday, on Sunday, Nov 21st, in Bremen, Germany. A total of 67 teams were invited to participate. Our team Bubble Sorters (Mikko Sysikaski, Aleksi Hartikainen ja Mika Laitinen) achieved a remarkable success, second place (gold medal, as places 1 to 4 are awarded gold). Bubble sorters are expecting an invitation to the ACM ICPC World Finals in Egypt, February 2011.

Another team from our department, Saxrollers (Jussi Kokkala, Santtu Keskinen, Jaakko Kulhia), participated for the first time and finished 23rd.
