Paying with Lyyra cards at UniCafe student restaurants will end accordingly:

30.11.2012 current Lyyra-paying ends at most UniCafes. Payments may end sooner in restaurants with a new cash register installed before the date, however larger restaurants will have at least one line functioning with the payments until 30.11. The Lyyra discount will be available by showing your card (once you’ve used up your credit) 1.11.-31.1.

New Lyyra payment method postponed until next year

The arrival of Lyyra’s new contactless payment method will be postponed until 2013. The change in plans is due to delays in updates for the current payment terminals’ software. Currently the new payment method is being tested in several pilot locations and testing will continue until the end of 2012. The existing Lyyra payment method will be shut down latest by the end of the year, as previously informed.
