Staff member of the year 2014

The "Staff member of the year" award will be given to a person who has in some positive way distinguished her- or himself among the staff
members during the past year. This person has improved the ambience of our department, our sense of community, the department's relations with
society or the department's visibility in society, or she/he has been especially successful in improving her/his research group or remit.

The "Staff member of the year" award has replaced the "Positive person" award previously given to Greger Lindén, Tiina Väisänen and Jaakko
Kurhila. The Staff member of the year award has been given to Hannu Toivonen, Mikko Pervilä and (Aaron) Yi Ding.

We would like to invite well-argued proposals for recipients of the Staff member of the year 2014 award. Any member of the department
staff or active student may make a proposal. Several people may come together to make a joint proposal.

ON 7TH NOVEMBER 2014 AT THE LATEST.

The awarded person will be decided by the head of department, together with the department's wellbeing group.
The awards ceremony will be held at the department's Christmas coffee on December 17.
