The administration of the University of Helsinki will constitute a single, coherent service organisation

The University intends to reorganise its administration into services managed as a single entity.

Beginning next year, the administration of the University of Helsinki will constitute a single, coherent service organisation. The aim is to cross the boundaries between Central Administration, faculty administration and unit administration.

The University’s services will be placed under the management of the director of administration. Service entities will operate on the campuses, while some services will continue to be provided centrally.

At present, the University’s administration consists of more than 50 separate units, some of which do overlapping work.
