When you have been accepted as a PhD student at the Department of Computer Science, the Faculty of Science will send you a letter of acceptance. You can also check your student status in WebOodi, where you should be listed for the PhD degree programme in computer science.

Please remember to

• Start attending the PhD seminar as soon as possible. The seminar is obligatory for new PhD students and you should attend it thorughout your PhD studies. The first time you attend, you are expected to give a short introduction (one slide) of who you are and your PhD topic. Please register as explained on the web page of the seminar.
• Join the PhD student mailing list so that you receive emails about the relevant information about your PhD studies. The list is moderated so you will not receive junk mail.

As a PhD student you must register each academic year. For further instructions, please see the Faculty page on enrolment. If you forget to register, you must re-enrol and will have to pay a re-enrolment fee.
