ContextFlickr
This is the page for an alpha version of ContextFlickr. To use it:
- download flickr_only-DATE.SIS from
/group/context/latest/s60v2/.
(all.SIS works as well, if you can live with the Contacts
and Logs being replaced), and install it.
- Set it up to publish media from Context_log. (If you've already
done this, no changes are needed.) In Options|Settings:
- Enable Operator Locationing: No
- Enable media publishing: via Context_log
- Delete media after upload: Yes/No, depending
on what you want.
- IP Access Point: your real access point (not
WAP only, although that is getting rarer).
- Go to http://db.cs.helsinki.fi/~mraento/cgi-bin/make_auth_token.pl to get a Flickr authentication token
in a SIS file, and install that.
- Start/Restart ContextLogger.
- Take a photo and see if it works.
Limitations:
- Flickr doesn't work with other media than photos. ContextFlickr
will try to upload all media, and fails with video and sound. The
only way to stop it from uploading a file is to go and delete that
file from the phone (it'll be in a ToBeUploaded directory).
- It's
extremely fairly untested.
- It doesn't allow you to set things like public/non-public (it
defaults to public).
- If something goes wrong, it doesn't necessarily give
you a lot of information. You can dig in Options|Extra|Show Events
and pester me.
- No GPS yet
No automatic mapping of MCC to countries or LAC to cities.
You could write a script to go through your photos and
do that.
Separate tags with : in the upload prompt to get multiple
tags in Flickr. To get back to your scheduled aware uploads, change
the Publish Url base and Publish script back to what they were.
