Lyyra ISIC Card Order Experience

I was interested in the the Lyyra ISIC Card because I will soon travel abroad. Therefore I decided to order it on 23th of November 2009. I had some bad experiences with the card ordering process which is why I created this problem report.

Past: In september 2009 Kuje Research Group perfomed a brief usability test on the new Lyyra Kampus Beta service.

Card Order

Original picture

I prepared a picture for my card.

I uploaded the picture, but the dimensions were wrong in the preview. I decided to adjust the cropping.

Crop adjustment

Crop is now adjusted and dimensions are correct. I clicked the save-button.

Preview wrong

The mini-preview is wrong. However, if I click again the crop adjustment link ("Muokkaa kuvaa") the preview there is correct (as in the previous section). Dimensions, however, are not twisted anymore in this card preview.

Preview is still wrong

Since the crop adjustment showed the picture correctly I decided to continue. I did not find a way to get the mini-preview shown correctly. The same problem is in the confirmation page: Crop is wrong here.

PS. I wanted the ISIC card but keyword "ISIC" is not mentioned anywhere in the confirmation page.

Order paid and confirmed

Ok, thank you! But I was told about the 30-40 days delay only after I had already paid my order...

Finalizing

The total user experience did not contain any serious errors. But, as a customer, I was left in doubt with the order delay (it was not told until I had paid the card) and with the mini-preview. The last one is a problem, because the Lyyra site claims that the mini-preview is not "final" and the image is shown correctly in the adjustment page.

As a customer I was forced to click "Muokkaa kuvaa" in the first place because the originally uploaded image had wrong dimensions - although it was not originally misfit in the crop layer.

The overall user experience was not very warm, especially because it had 35 € of money involved.
