Seppo - The Form Analysator

As part of the Matinaut Project [Page in Finnish] we have developed a Perl CGI program that analyses HTML questionnaires and gives feedback directly to the user. The program can be configured to save both raw and analysed data, so it can be used to collect survey data. Seppo is distributed under GNU Public License.

Seppo can be configured to various environments and tasks. The installation process has four steps:

  1. Installation of the CGI program itself. Single program can handle an unlimited number of different forms.
  2. Creating a questionnaire form - standard HTML form.

  3. Creating analysis rules for the form. The rule is stored in a text file within the reach of the CGI program.

  4. Creating a template for Seppo output. The template has to be readable for the CGI.
