Short Abstract:

I will present research results in measures for privacy, trust and tradeoffs in collaboartive distributed systems. The examples of such systems are P2P, Ad Hoc Networks, and Pervasive systems. The integrity of data, authentication, and privacy preservation through building trust will be discussed. The problems of fraud, mischievious activties, intruder identification and denial of service in databases, internet and mobile adhoc networks will be covered.

There will be four lectures of three hours each. The discussions will be based on current research projects at Purdue and how to develop Ph.D thesis and new research projects.
