Hi Bob,

I had the same problem with a Tyan S2466N, except that
the system didn't crash. It would intermittently
throw off these non-fatal APIC errors. Using 2.4.18 I
was able to trigger an error storm just by running an
fft benchmark.

The problem seems to have been fixed by upgrading the
ROM BIOS to the most recent (beta) version.
