Hi

Desccription of the problems:
1.Problems at DMA initialization. See dmesg.
2.After doing a compilation or an updatedb the system
become unresponsive for some periods of time while
the cpu is 100% system. Also there is little free
memory. If i kill the updatedb the system come back
to normal. However the memory is not freed. The cache
is too small to explain the "missing" memory. After
the updatedb (or big compilation) has been running
for some time,if i issue a simple command on a
terminal (like ps axuf) it takes a couple of
seconds to complete, while the system is not
loaded (the only running tasks are updatedb --
or big compilation -- and top).
Here are the top outputs. The last one is when i
killed
the updatedb script.
