Switch the IDE I/O layers to taskfile. This uses the BIO traverse code
to fix various outstanding problems, cleans up the IDE code a ton and
opens the door to yet further tidying. I had planned to leave this for
2.7 but Bartlomiej has done all the work ready for 2.6
