Re: CD-ROM problem in 2.1.71

This is a known and long-standing problem in ide-cd that has
recently become much more apparent now that the Uniform CDROM driver is
asking ide-cd to do the right thing (return its status right away).
ide-cd foolishly waits until it has an OK status before returning its
status, so there is no way to find out if the door is open. ide-cd needs
to be fixed, but I have been too busy at work recently to do this. I will
work on this over my Christmas holiday, unless someone kindly fixes this
for me before then. If anybody has a bit of time to burn on this, please
feel free to fix ide-cd...
