When I do a 'modprobe lp', I get:
..
parport0: PC-style at 0x378, irq 7, dma 3 [SPP,PS2,EPP,ECPEPP,ECPPS2]
Trying to free free IRQ7
Trying to free free IRQ7
parport0: no IEEE-1284 device present.
Trying to free free IRQ7
Trying to free free IRQ7
lp0: using parport0 (interrupt-driven).
..
and _seems_ to load OK.
But when I try to print (using lprng) I get again
..
Trying to free free IRQ7
Trying to free free IRQ7
Trying to free free IRQ7
Trying to free free IRQ7
..
and printer says 'PROCESSING' and then 'WAITING' and then 'READY'
and nothing prints.
Doing a simple 'cat file > /dev/lp0' as root doesn't help as the results are
the same...
