Booting 2.0.32 with an adaptec 2940AU scsi card hangs in the boot
sequence in the aic7xxx just after the scb message. Applying the
aic7xxx patch on the LMP does not help. The exact same config
seems to work fine with a DPT card (eata_dma drivers).
The machine is a intel ppro uni-processor. The adaptec card is
supposed to eventually mount partitions created under the DPT card.
since this is all scsi, it shouldn't matter, right?
If this is not a known problem, let me know; I can provide additional
detail, but need to be coached a bit on this.
