Hi Steve,
I haven't seen any problems of this sort with 2.1.71 Linux NFS client
talking to Linux knfsd. I tried various wsizes (default, 1292, 4096) and
writes of any size work fine.

Maybe the Hummingbird NFS server only works for a certain specified
write size?

Anyway, if you can replicate the problem with a Linux client talking to
a Linux server, please post a script or test program that demonstrates
the problem.
