Heres a though I havnt heard here before: Why isn't ISAPNPTOOLS integrated
into lilo and loadlin?? It seemes the natural place to put it.. Both
pieces of software have the ability to read configfiles of some form.....
Doesnt the Alpha's boot loader perform device init? (I seem to recall
reading that it does)..
This would keep it out of the kernel and before boot, but it wouldn't
require a initrd setup or modularizsed drivers..
