Hey, you missed the smiley :), it's a way of asking people to
express their opinions. An opinion/wish is cool at your head, but it
does nothing if you don't comunicate it.

AFAIK, the opinions of the kernel people regarding GGI have
changed a little bit since they saw what was really GGI
about. However, don't take this as God's word. It's rumours I've read
I don't know where.

Ok, what locked your console was the X server, not the linux
kernel. Taken that actually, arbitrating the graphix system is not a
kernel issue [and this is what GGI wants to change], then linux didn't
hang, just your console :)
Ok, for me, linux is far more stable then others.
