Native Linux applications run in full 32-bit protected mode...
Running them in some 8086 emulator wouldn't make things faster :))
And as far as I know, DOS-emu runs in normal v86 mode, but I
don't know for sure as I haven't felt the need to run a DOS
application under Linux since 1995 :))) The Linux apps are
more than good enough for me...
