Who knows? Chances are something does, and if we break it
I expect it would cause someone a headache.

That's somewhat like the way some of these hardware vendors are
developing their devices... "Well, we'll just do this a tad different
from the PCI spec, it'll work for most people (ie: it'll work in
winbloze)."
