With my Mystique card, I also have 60Hz by default, I have no idea how to change
it, I even tried with those dos utils (darn, had to install a 1.9 Mb dos
partition to do that). But now I have this great(?) workaround, X switches video
mode, and I get 78Hz vsync when I come back after exiting X. It's important to
be in the same video mode in X though, otherwise you may screw up the video
mode.
Any better ways to do this?
I also have problems with freeze on boot time, the boot code enters some strange
video mode and freezes there. I have actually no idea about this, it's really
strange because it doesn't happen each time you reboot, just 1 time out of 2 or
so. I have upgraded my bios to version 1.8 recently, and it didn't fix the
problem.
