I am running Linux 2.2.13 on a dual Pentium II system w/
ASUS P2L97-DS mainboard.
When I am working with the AnyJ Java IDE, it frequently
happens that my system hangs for several seconds.
dmesg gives the message
stuck on TLB IPI wait (CPU#0)
after some of theses hangs.
I am running AnyJ with the IBM JDK 1.1.8 which makes have
use of native LinuxThreads.
It seams that this leads to SMP deadlock situations (or kind of),
am I right? Do you need more information?
Should I upgrade to 2.3.*?
BTW: I didn't get any answers to my previous (unrelated) posting that
support for some a.out binaries seems to be broken in 2.2.13.
In 2.2.9 I don't have any problems running a.out binaries
(completely reproducable).
I am thankfull for any hints.
Regards,
Oliver Mai
