2.2.14pre17,pre18: lock up possibly related to floppy

The 2.2.14pre17 and pre18 kernels on one machine here locks up
with the message "Kernel panic: B_FREE insert into queues" in the
middle of a very long build process. There is no register dump or
anything following that. The machine is still pingable at that point,
but it will not create a new login process. I believe it is unable to
complete any further block device I/O at that point.

I know that this problem occurs at some point in our build
process after the floppy disk is accessed, but when I run the part of
the build that tries to access the floppy drive, it works without
problem. Anyhow, I expect this problem will be narrowed down shortly,
but I thought I should mention it now while the number of effected
kernel pre-releases is small.
