Well, I don't know if it's part of your problem, but I know for a fact that
bchunk has some naughty bugs here and there. Either contact the author for
his beta-version of the next release, or use bin2iso, which might work
better (I'm not sure that it does.) Note that bin2iso was recently GPL'd,
and that bchunk (and vcdgear, which sort of is a relative, at least) will
probably soon be too, so you should be able to fix any remaining bugs on
your own with a little help from the scsi-III MMC draft (if you want a copy
(pdf), let me know)
