I just put back the TEST_UNIT_READY before INQUIRY into
scan_scsis_single() in drivers/scsi/scsi_scan.c and the aic7xxx resets
went away which proves the theory that Jens Axboe suggested earlier.
Just thought I should let you know this fact - obviously this is not a fix
since you probably want to find out *why* those resets happen..
