I just noticed that 2.2.16-pre8 fails to boot (something about unable
to mount the root file system, as I recall). 2.2.16-pre4 works fine.

My root file system is a SCSI drive.
CONFIG_SCSI_SYM53C8XX=y

If any additional info would be useful, please let me know.
