'Cept the NetApps logs to the nvram at the nfs level, not the disk level.
Which is of course the Right Thing[tm] to do when you are a file server
appliance, eh?
So, nvram logging support for both filesystems and knfsd would be cool.
Usermode fs servers like samba can do it via a block or char device, as
applicable to the nvram hardware. At least in the cases where the lazy
writing from nvram to disk would not be a problem, such as when there
is no (significant) local access to that data. Or via other network
filesystems.... [SIGH] Rather limited applicability.
