PhD studies committee
The PhD student committee coordinates the PhD studies at the department. The committee approves new PhD students, follows the progress of old PhD students and handles possible exceptions. The committee is also in charge of the PhD student seminar.
The committee has three members, selected for three years following the same phase as the department board is selected. The members of the committee for 2010-2012 are
- Professor Jussi Kangasharju, chair
- Professor Jyrki Kivinen
- Professor Jukka Paakki
The research coordinator of the department acts as secretary and contact person for the committee.
