    • 58271 Studies in the Field of Research, 50 cr
      • 582710 PhD student seminar, 6 cr, 2 times/semester until graduation

    • 58272 General PhD studies, 10 cr

      The general PhD studies should include studies in philosophy of science (582720) and research ethics (582721), general expertise studies (582722), as well as international scientific activities (582723). The contents and execution are detailed in the study plan.

  2. Doctoral thesis

If PhD students have some other degree than the MSc in computer science, more than 60 cr may have to be included in their personal study plan.

Note that the graduate schools also organise their own teaching and events. Lately, they have organised a course in research ethics in 2008 and 2009.

PhD student seminar

The PhD student seminar is an ongoing seminar that is obligatory for PhD students who have started their studies after 1 August 2008. The seminar meets twice per semester and the students are supposed to attend all through their PhD studies, each semster until they finish their PhD degree. Both students and supervisors as well as external speakers give talks in the seminar.
