N. Asokan
I am a Professor with the Department of Computer
Science. I am also a Professor at Aalto University.
I lead the Secure Systems research
group, which is part of the the NODES unit. I joined the university in
September 2012. You can find more information about me and my
research at my personal home
page.
Research Interests
I am interested in building secure systems
that people will, hopefully, use. My goal is to learn how to build
secure systems that are simultaneously secure, easy-to-use and
realistically deployable. Recently I have been working on the
following topical areas:
- trusted computing and platform security (hardware and operating
system security mechanisms and how to use them for protecting new
applications and services)
- secure protocols
- usability of security
Supervision
If you are a student at the department interested
in working with me, take a look at the
special assignment topics and
MSc thesis topics we are currently offering.
