The course introduces some basic image transformations (Hough and
Fourier) and basic digital image processing techniques for, e.g.,
histogram manipulation, filtering, thresholding, segmentation, shape
detection, compression and retrieval.

- How to pass the course
- 1: Active participation in lectures and exercise sessions
(extra points earned by doing exercises: 10% -> 1 (minimum demand);
80% -> 8 points), Project work (mandatory), max 10 points, and
course exam (max 30 points; minimum demand 15 points)
- 2: Passing a separate exam; the scope includes the lecture material,
the essees of the previous course, and Gonzalez & Woods' book.
