Course Description
The course introduces some basic image transformations (Hough and Fourier) and basic digital image processing techniques for, e.g., histogram manipulation, filtering, thresholding, segmentation, shape detection, compression and retrieval.

Level of the course
An elective special course on Laudatur level.

How to pass the course
  • 1: Active participation in lectures and exercise sessions (extra points earned by doing exercises: 10% -> 1 (minimum demand); 80% -> 8 points), Project work (mandatory), max 10 points, and course exam (max 30 points; minimum demand 15 points)
  • 2: Passing a separate exam; the scope includes the lecture material, the essees of the previous course, and Gonzalez & Woods' book.
