Research seminar on advanced topics in security and cryptography
================================================================

The focus of this research seminar will be a selected research area
in security and cryptography. The exact topic will be determined later.
Examples of potential topics are: 
- secure operating systems: requirements and design options
- privacy enhancing technologies
- digital rights management
- electronic voting

This is NOT a seminar for beginners. Potential participants should have
- experience in writing research papers (e.g., scientific writing course
  or equivalent)
- familiarity with security and cryptography basics (e.g., a first
  course in security/cryptography or equivalent)
Interest in pursuing research in security/cryptography will be a
definite plus.  The number of participants will be limited to at most
10.  All participants will be expected to read and discuss selected
research papers, as well as write and present an own paper.
