Ok, let me introduce myself, though I'm not actually so new to this
list; I've been around in different incarnations for at least 6 years.
 
My name is Jan Andersen - that's 'Yan' for you English and American 
speakers, and it is a male name. I am Danish, but like my ancestors I 
have gone to UK 'on business' as they used to put it 1000 years ago. I
pose as a computer programmer, but that's just a cover for the rape and
pillaging etc, you know - the usual stuff.
 
I've never played a guitar and I didn't know the lute at all until I 
about 25 or so. Until then I mostly liked the old Beatles songs and some
classic music, but actually there was more music that I disliked than
the other way round. Once, out of idle curiousity, I borrowed a record
at the library - I don't remember the title, but I think it was
something like '... Cozens lute book ...'. I was hooked immediately. 
Since then I have been trying to learn to play the instrument myself.
 
What else can I say about myself? I am of course extremely intelligent,
startlingly handsome and fabulously well muscled, esecially around the
waist, for some reason ;-)
