Who are you and where do you come from?

My name is Inka and I’m sort of a “new old employee”. I have worked at
the department in the past but have spent several years at home with my
kids. My background is in social sciences…

What will you be working with at the department?

I’m going to take care of Ellen’s duties now that she has retired. So
basically anything concerning employment contracts, international staff,
allocating hours to sole etc.

Why did you end up at the Department of Compuer Science
at the University of Helsinki?

I sort of drifted here from Nokia in 2002 when the Basic Research Unit
of HIIT was starting.

What do you do when you're not working?

I have three kids (and a husband) so that basically covers my spare time
When I do have some time of my own, I like to read or go outdoors.

Is there something everyone should know about you?

I probably eat more chocolate than the whole department put together…
