RAGE-tutkimusryhmä pokkasi parhaan tutkimusartikkelin palkinnon ACM SIGITE -konferenssissa Orlandossa

RAGE-tutkimusryhmän artikkeli "Learning Agile Software Engineering Practices Using Coding Dojo" valittiin ACM:n Information Technology Education (SIGITE 2013) -konferenssin parhaaksi tutkimusartikkeliksi 11.10.2013 Orlandossa Floridassa. Tutkimus käsittelee eturivin ohjelmistoyritysten käyttämän coding dojo -menetelmän käyttämistä osana tutkintokoulutusta. Dojosta kerrotaan artikkelissa seuraavasti:

Coding dojo is a meeting where a small group of participants gathers together to practice programming. Its main goal is to act as a safe and non-competitive environment, in which everyone is allowed to learn and make mistakes and share their knowledge so that everyone can improve and become better at their craft. Coding dojos are typically organised by a dojo master, whose task is to facilitate the space and time, while the participants engage in
solving a problem. Often at least part of the participants acts as an audience, whose task is to monitor the working process of other participants and give feedback and improvement suggestions.

Artikkelin kirjoittajina olivat RAGEn kesätyöntekijät Kenny Heinonen ja Kasper Hirvikoski sekä Matti Luukkainen ja Arto Vihavainen.
