Break in mail services on Sunday morning, March 2, 2014

02.03.2014 - 02:00 - 12:00
Kuvaus:

Due to mail system upgrade all mail services at the Department of Computer Science will be unavailable on Sunday morning, March 2, 2014.

This is a comprehensive upgrade including both hardware and software upgrade. However, from the average user's point of view not very much will change. All mail service names (mail.cs.helsinki.fi, imap.cs.helsinki.fi, smtp.cs.helsinki.fi, msa.cs.helsinki.fi, post.cs.helsinki.fi) will after the upgrade point to the new services. But if you for some reason have used the name courier.cs.helsinki.fi to refer to the mail server, this must be changed. We recommend to use mail.cs.helsinki.fi as the name for all mail services at the Department of Computer Science.
