Tervetuloa hackaamaan Solinorille 1.-3.4.! Tänä vuonna koodataan TKO-älyn ja Athenen yhteisvoimin palvelu, joka perustuu Bluetooth beacon -teknologiaan. Kyseessä voi olla vaikkapa sisätilapaikannusta, esineiden tunnistamista - tai kenties joku tulevaisuuden palvelu mitä kukaan ei ole vielä keksinyt!

Information for international students
Welcome to hack during 1.-3.4. at Solinor! This year we’re joined by Athene to code services based on beacon technologies. You can create for example an indoor locating service, object recognition or something totally different and new!
The event is BYOD (bring your own device), but every team will have a beacon development kit (http://estimote.com) to use. The kit includes 3 beacons and SDKs for iOS and Android devices (https://github.com/Estimote). You may want to check these out beforehand! If you’re not familiar with mobile development, Chrome can nowadays be used for bluetooth stuff, so JavaScript is a possible option too. If you want to use cloud services in your project, you may also use AWS-services - we’ll offer the resources!
These are the tools — stage is yours. The most awesome project will be awarded!
The participants will form six person teams. If you already know who you want to team up with, write it on the sign up form. You can spend the night at our office and we’ll have food and drinks for the weekend. So bring yourself, your friends and your laptop!

Tervetuloa hackaamaan Solinorille 1.-3.4.! Tänä vuonna koodataan TKO-älyn ja Athenen yhteisvoimin palvelu, joka perustuu Bluetooth beacon -teknologiaan. Kyseessä voi olla vaikkapa sisätilapaikannusta, esineiden tunnistamista - tai kenties joku tulevaisuuden palvelu mitä kukaan ei ole vielä keksinyt!
Tapahtuma toimii BYOD-periaatteella (bring your own device), mutta jokaisella tiimillä on oma Beacon developmentkit käytettävissä (http://estimote.com), joka sisältää kolme beaconia ja omat SDK:t iOS ja Android laitteille (https://github.com/Estimote). Kannattaa silmäillä näitä jo etukäteen! Jos mobiilidevaus on vieraampaa, myös Chrome taipuu nykyään Bluetooth -kikkailuun, joten Javascript toimii tässä(kin) tapauksessa työkaluna. Myös AWS-palveluiden hyödyntäminen on mahdollista, mikäli haluatte käyttää pilveä projektissanne - me tarjoamme resurssit!
Tässä välineet — aihe on vapaa. Päräyttävin projekti palkitaan!
Osallistujat jaetaan kuuden hengen tiimeihin. Jos tiedät jo etukäteen kenen kanssa haluat samaan tiimiin, kirjoita tämä ilmottautumislomakkeeseen. Meillä voi halutessaan yöpyä, ja ruokaa sekä juomaa on tarjolla. Tuo paikalle siis itsesi, kaverisi ja tietokoneesi!
