Hello World Open is the World Championships for Coding! And yes, we are participating. Form a team of 1-3 persons and create an artificial intelligence (AI) for a simple real time racing game. Your AI will sit on the drivers seat and race against others on different virtual tracks. There will be a server that will send you track details and car positions and your job is to send the car control messages to the server. You"ll communicate with a game server using JSON over TCP. Programming languages that are currently available for selection are C, C# / Mono, Clojure, CoffeeScript, Haskell, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Scala, Go. As in other sports, we will also train together. There will be four coaching sessions at the department of Computer Science, the purpose of which is to help remove obstacles and support your progress. We will have expert guests from our department to help you out. First meeting: Monday 14th at 13:00 Software Factory, BK113.
