You may know Arduino ... but do you know there¿s an Arduino board with an Intel Quark processor (SoC) x1000 with a 32bit core running at 400MHz. This course will introduce the Intel Galileo development board as a platform that the university students can use to develop their technical skills, explore open hardware and software tools and prototype their creative and innovative ideas. The course consist of 4 hour training session. During the session the students will be given an introduction to the board. The participating students will be split into groups, each with a board to work with. The groups have the next week after the training session to finish a project with the board.

Information for international students

The starting lecture will be given by Paul Guermonprez from Intel. He is the Academic Program Manager for the zone Europe, MiddleEast, Africa and Russia. I create OpenCourseWare, organize hackathons, software contests and install software incubators in universities. 

Note: as of 10.11.2014 the registration is closed due to the popularity of the course and the fact that we can only take maximum of 30 students on the course.
