Service-oriented software engineering (SOSE) is a software engineering approach which utilises constructs and concepts conforming with the service-oriented computing paradigm for designing, modelling and developing service based systems. The course introduces principles behind service-oriented software engineering, and approaches and methods for efficient service production in service ecosystems. The emphasis of the course is on service design, composition and modelling principles instead of specific implementation technologies.

Information for international students

This self-study course material is available in moodle, course name (&self-registration) SOSEwithMDE.

The course is based on reading scientific articles and working out learnind diaries with the help of guidance question. There are plenty of other things in the articles besides the ideas we need for this course, so the questions give you an idea what is considered the relevant contents. Besides these, each "chapter" or "module" includes slides from the corresponding lecture course and some pointers to video materials.

In 2018, the course is going to be fixed 5 cr package, according to the new curricula rules.
