The seminar focuses on the integration of cloud and mobile

computing technologies. Central themes of the seminar
pertain to the integration of billions of mobile devices and
Internet-enabled devices with cloud-based services. Topics
include scalability, security, privacy, and energy-awareness.

Central questions addressed during the seminar include:
- What is the "cloud"? and how can modern cloud systems scale to
millions of users and petabytes of data (e.g., Facebook has 600
million users until Jan 2011, and absorbs 15 TeraBytes of data each
day into their 2.5 PetaByte Hadoop-powered data warehouse)?
- What will the Internet of the future looks like when 4 billion smart
phones are connected to the network?
- How users can ubiquitous access the Internet services via the mobile
and cloud integration?

The seminar will focus on recent research articles published at top
system and networking conferences.
