This course focuses on basic knowledge and skills needed in writing a scientific review in the field of Human Computer Interaction. We will discuss: how to conduct a proper literature review, what are the main elements of a typical HCI paper, how to write the main sections of a paper. In this course you will work in a group and progressively write a scientific review under a given topic given to you. We expect you to learn how group dynamics affect in collaborative scientific writing and learn to use different tools that support collaborative writing.

General

This course focuses on basic knowledge and skills needed in writing a scientific review in the field of Human Computer Interaction. We will discuss: how to conduct a proper literature review, what are the main elements of a typical HCI paper, how to write the main sections of a paper. 

Completing the course

In this course you will work in a group and progressively write a scientific review under a topic given to you. Group size may vary from 2-3. In the first week you will form groups and learn how to conduct collaborative literature review. We expect you to learn how group dynamics affect in collaborative scientific writing and learn to use different tools that support collaborative writing. Each group will submit a literature review and present their review in front of the class.
