General
Network measurements are a fundamental mechanism for understanding the behavior of networks and networked applications. Measurements can be used to gather information about the performance of applications and protocols as well as that of the network itself. Measurements can be performed in multiple ways and in various networks. In this seminar we will look at different measurement techniques and studies that have been performed in different networks (fixed, mobile) and measurements in other networking-related areas, such as Internet of Things.
Completing the course
You need to write a paper of about 7 pages in the format give, make a presentation of about 30 minutes, and actively participate in the seminar.
Period I is used for paper writing with assigned tasks for every week that need to be completed on time. After the papers are completed, there will be a review phase where students read 2-3 papers from others and provide comments and feedback. During Period II we will have the seminar presentations.
