A new security company for the University of Helsinki from 1 June 2015
The Centre for Properties and Facilities of the University of Helsinki has selected Turvatiimi Corporation as the University’s new security services provider based on a tendering process. The contract will begin on 1 June 2015.
In addition to basic security duties, the Turvatiimi customer service centre will also handle urgent on-call duties during evenings and weekends. Both services will be available from the same phone number.
From 1 June 2015, the security company and the University’s on-call fault service can be reached from the number: 02941 44500
Security and on-call services (urgent maintenance and on-call fault service)
The security guards from the security company serve the University by keeping our campuses, facilities and property safe. The security guards provide a vital service to ensure the safety of the University. Please present your staff ID card or student card as well as the access key required for the facility in question when requested to do so by a security guard. By making sure our cooperation runs smoothly, we help maintain a pleasant, safe environment at our University.
If you encounter urgent issues regarding security or maintenance during evenings or nights when porter services are not available, you may contact the security company’s customer service centre which also serves as the switchboard for on-call duties at the University. The customer service centre and security company can both be reached from the same phone number, 02941 44500 (an alternate number for security is 0207 363 201). The customer service representative will answer your call with “Helsingin yliopisto, päivystys”.

On weekdays, porters can provide information on the University’s security matters. In addition, the University’s security team can be reached on weekdays between 9.00 and 15.00 by phone 02941 44400, or by email at turvallisuusvalvomo@helsinki.fi.
