The tax authorities directly provide the University of Helsinki with the tax information of all who have a valid employment contract on 31 December 2015. These employees need not submit their tax card to the employer. The employer automatically uses the information indicated on the employee’s tax card and selects alternative A as the method of taxation.

If you wish to select the alternative based on an annual income ceiling B on the tax card or to use a higher tax rate than that indicated on the tax card, you must submit your revised tax card to Personnel Services as soon as possible.

Those who have not have a valid employment contract on 31 December 2015 must submit their tax card to Personnel Services either as an email attachment or by post as soon as possible.
